AIRC is mandated to provide a seamless platform for collecting, processing and sharing of agricultural information, knowledge and skills among and within the agricultural value chain players in the crops, livestock, fisheries, irrigation and research subsectors to achieve food security and improved livelihoods

AIRC Strategic Objectives

  • To improve the availability and access to agricultural information and knowledge resources for the attainment of sustainable food and nutrition security in Kenya
  • To enhance the skills of extension providers on communication, extension management and ICT for Agriculture
  • To expand the AIRC range of agricultural information, products and services in order to meet the changing needs of the farmer and other agricultural sector stakeholders.
  • To expand the AIRC resource base and efficiency in the management of resources.
